The
kaleidoscopic bazaars of HP are brimming with superb
silver jewelry, glass bangles, bead necklaces and
exquisite cashmere shawls, head gears and tweeds –
all hand-made by the cheerful local population. The
handicrafts made here are in high demand by collectors
and cultural aficionados the world over.
There
are frequent folk dance and musical performances,
and visitors are invited to watch or even participate!
At most times of the year, tourists will come across
exuberantly colorful religious festivals which we
guarantee will be a unique experience.

In
October, the natives of Kulu and Manali celebrate
the world famous festival of Dusseraha in which
joyfully singing and dancing devotees carry the
idols of their tribal deities in gorgeously decorated
palanquins to the temples. These
week-long festivities draw holiday crowds from all
over the world and the spectacle lingers in their
memories long after they leave this magical land
– also called "The Valley of the Gods".
